What Are People Asking?

Are your Cold Cores JUST ice packs?

Unlike traditional ice packs that melt in minutes, the Krazy Kool Technology™ Cold Cores have revolutionized cold science, rated 4 to 5 hours. There are many ice packs on the market. Most freezer ice packs contain a water based gel in a plastic bag or hard plastic container. A proprietary engineered design that contains a super cold refrigerant core, phase change material and a cooling thermal gel, all sealed in a protective durable heat reflective outer layer. Engineered to cool the air around it at a controlled consistent rate, to deliver long lasting cold therapy, without the constant need for refreezing.

How cold does your Cold Core get?

Unlike portable chemical instant ice packs are 35°F/2°C and last 5 minutes or freezer ice packs that struggle staying frozen, Krazy Kool Technology™ Cold Cores are rated to: 1) reach or go below -18°C/0°F; 2) stay frozen in its sleeve for at least 12 hours in 90F (32C) extreme heat; 3) and deliver cold therapy for 4 to 5 hours. Basically, the colder your settings on your freezer, the colder Cold Cores will get, and the longer they are kept in the freezer, the longer they will last.

Can it get too cold and give me frostbite?

At temperatures below 32°F/0°C, any frozen material can give you frostbite, so yes Cold Cores could give you frostbite if used improperly. The Cold Cores were not designed to be used directly on bare
skin. They were designed to be used as a component within the Krazy Kool Technology™ System.

Are the contents of your Cold Core safe?

Yes, the Cold Core's main components: super cold refrigerant core; phase change material; and the cooling thermal gel are ALL safe, non toxic, compostable materials.

What if I need cold therapy everyday?

The system’s main components (cold cores, regulator, hyper-evaporative shell) are constructed from durable materials for everyday use. The recommended minimum freeze time is 12 hours. For everyday continuous availability, freeze an additional 4 Cold Cores to alternate daily use, for each system.
