Is the Krazy Kool Technology™ System is just another wet cooling towel?
Wet cooling towels are all made from PVA fabric or polyacrylate-based fibers. They provide some limited area cooling for about 10 minutes, under the right conditions. Wet cooling towels lose their effectiveness: 1) when the air is very hot and dry, as they need constant re-wetting; and 2) in an extremely hot, very humid environment, the wet towels cannot evaporate.
Krazy Kool TechnologyTM System is designed to provide long lasting cold therapy all day, in any environment without constant maintenance or refreezing.
How effective is the Krazy Kool Technology™ System compared to cooling vests?
Most cooling vests are designed to cool the chest area only by insulating the individual with cold ice packs. The inherent challenge in the design is that it only targets the cardiovascular region and does not target the core body zones that are responsible for cooling: the carotid arteries and veins to the central nervous system and the brain; the axillary area under the arms; and inguinal or femoral arteries in the groin area. Another challenge with the cooling vest design is in the technology of the ice packs as they are usually sheets of small ice cubes that melt rapidly, limiting the amount of cold therapy. Also, cooling vests are not versatile and limited in application.
We considered the size and needs of varying bodies that require varying applications such as: preventative; performance and recovery; as well as protection against heat stress. Krazy Kool Technology™ System is designed to provide portable, versatile cold therapy in any environment without the constant maintenance or refreezing.
When do I use your Cold Therapy?
Even slight increases in core temperature can result in slower reaction times, impair decision-making, and reduce muscle function. Professional athletes rely on a variety of cold therapy strategies to manage body temperature in extreme heat conditions:
- Preventative Cooling when you are slightly overworked, mild overheating or heat want to delay overheating, cool the body slightly. Target Zones: Carotid (neck);
- Pre-Activity or Exposure Cooling Routine to lower core body temperatures before activity or entering hot or extreme conditions, can delay overheating and reduce body cooling load. Target Zones: Carotid (neck), Chest, and Axillary (armpits);
- Periodic Activity or Exposure Cooling Routine during activity, game or practice breaks. Target Zones: Carotid (neck), Chest and Axillary (armpits);
- Post Activity or Exposure Recovery Routine core body zone and muscle

Where can I take the Krazy Kool Technology™ System?
Krazy Kool Technology™ System can be taken anywhere. To maximize cold therapy time try to keep the system in a cool shaded area. Leave it in your trunk during the day or take it with you when you are going shopping, walking, picnics in the park, to the beach, going to work or taking the kids to school. If you work or spend significant time outdoors, in hot humid conditions or extreme heat, implementing cooling routines with the Krazy Kool Technology™ System is critical in staying safe (Preventative, Pre-Activity, Scheduled Breaks and Post-Activity Cooling).
Athletes can integrate the Krazy Kool Technology™ System into their cooling routines:
- Football: Wear the Krazy Kool Technology™ System at practice, on the bench, and during games.
- Soccer: Wear our technology during breaks and halftime.
- Tennis: Wear Krazy Kool Technology™ for cold therapy between sets.
- Running: Sprinters and distance runners use Krazy Kool Technology™ to keep cool pre-game, warming up on the track followed by post-race.
- Cycling: Riders wear Krazy Kool Technology™ System on their necks during races and long-distance rides.
- Workout Classes and Saunas: Wear Krazy Kool Technology™ cold therapy during a long sauna session or a yoga and pilates breaks and recovery.
- Indoor Gyms and Courts: Wear the System for preventative, pre-activity, scheduled breaks and post-activity cooling.

Are your “Cold Cores” just ice packs?
There are many ice packs on the market. Most freezer ice packs contain a water based gel in a plastic bag or hard plastic container.
Unlike traditional ice packs that melt in minutes, the Krazy Kool Technology™ Cold Cores are a proprietary engineered design that contains a super cold refrigerant core, phase change material and a cooling thermal gel, all sealed in a protective durable heat reflective outer layer. It is engineered to cool the air around it at a controlled consistent rate, to deliver long lasting cold therapy, without the constant need for refreezing.
How long does your “Cold Core” last?
Water based gel ice packs in plastic bags can fully melt within minutes and phase change ice packs might last an hour or so.
The projected thaw rating for Krazy Kool Technology™ Cold Cores, with continuous unprotected exposure is 4-5 hours to reach 32F/0C, at room temperature. The Cold Cores were designed with its own custom, cold retention pouch to extend available stored cold therapy for an added 6-8 hours prior to full exposure at 74F/23C, consequently giving the user all day cold therapy.

How cold does your “Cold Core” get?
Where dry instant ice packs are 35F/2C and last 5 minutes, and freezer ice packs freeze at various temperatures below freezing, depending on your freezer limitations, Krazy Kool Technology™ Cold Cores were designed to reach or go below -18C/0F. Basically, the colder your settings on your freezer, the colder Cold Cores will get, and the longer they are kept in the freezer, the longer they will last.
Is it easy to use?
Yes. Simply freeze the “Cold Cores” for at least 12 hours. In the morning or when going outdoors for an extended period of time, pack the Cold Cores, Temperature Regulator and Hyper-Evaporative Shell in their respective pouches and put all the components into the portable thermal carry bag.
When ready to use: 1) Lay flat the Krazy Kool Technology™ Hyper-Evaporative Shell; 2) Unzip the shell, move the fabric away to expose all the fastener straps; 3) Place the four (4) “Cold Cores” in the Krazy Kool Technology™ Temperature Regulator; 4) Lay the Temperature Regular with the cold cores flat on the Hyper-Evaporative shell; 5) Tightly secure with the fastener straps and zip close the Hyper-Evaporative shell.
What if I need cold therapy everyday?
The system’s main components (cold cores, regulator, hyper-evaporative shell) are constructed from durable materials for everyday use. The recommended freeze time is 12 hours. For everyday continuous availability, freeze an additional 4 Cold Cores to alternate daily, for each system.
Are the contents of your “Cold Core” safe?
The main components of the Krazy Kool Technology™ Core Core: super cold refrigerant core; phase change material; and the cooling thermal gel are all safe, non toxic, compostable materials.
Can it be too cold and give me frostbite?
At temperatures below 32°F/0°C, any frozen material can give you frostbite, so yes Cold Cores could give you frostbite if used improperly. The Cold Cores were not designed to be used directly on bare skin. They were designed to be used as a component within the Krazy Kool Technology™ System.
Can I get replacement or additional parts of the Krazy Kool Technology™ System?
Yes. The Krazy Kool Technology™ System has been designed for versatility, convenience and affordability.
Visit our products page and select the individual components you want and check out. We have structured the complete systems to give you the best savings and the individual components to provide you with the options specific to your needs.
What if I travel, or want to take my Krazy Kool Technology™ System on the plane?
Check with your travel agent or international flight restrictions. Each Cold Core weighs approximately 12.7oz or 375mL of liquid, so any number of Cold Cores would exceed most "carry on limits". A single zone Krazy Kool Technology™ System weighs about 5lbs or 2.3kg. The Cold Cores are mainly in liquid and would be “check in” for flights.
We have developed and will be available as a pre-order, "a one time fill" Core Core for travelling, that can be carried on board a plane. Each Krazy Kool Technology™ travel Cold Core has approximately 6mL of liquid or 0.22oz, reducing the liquid contents and the total weight significantly.
Ordering and Shipping
Can I make changes to my order?
If you would like to cancel a pre-ordered item, send us an email: support@krazykootech.com with your order number and we'll handle that for you. We can only change orders that have not been processed for shipping yet.
Once your order is under the status "preparing for shipping", "shipping" or "delivered", then we cannot accept any edits to your order. To make changes to your order, please reach out to support@krazykootech.com.
What is the status of my order?
Once you have placed your order, we will send you a confirmation email to track the status of your order.
Once your order is shipped we will send you another email to confirm you the expected delivery date as well as the link to track your order (when the delivery method allows it).
Additionally, you can track the status of your order from your "order history" section on your account page on the website.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship in the United States and Canada. We are in the process of expanding our shipping destinations.

How long does it take to ship my order?
Once you've placed your order, it usually takes 24 to 48 hours to process it for delivery. Standard shipping time for the countries covered by our delivery partners are presented below.
Standard shipping times can be found when choosing a delivery method before confirming your order: United States: 1-2 days; Canada: 1-1 days
What payment methods do you accept?
Your payment method can be selected at checkout. Our website supports using a debit or credit card. We also offer support for Paypal, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Which currency will I be charged in?
We currently only support the following currencies for charging our customers in their local currencies: USD, CAD. Once we expand our destinations, we will be able to accept other currencies.
If your credit or debit card uses another currency, then you will be charged in USD or CAD depending on the website you are on. Your bank will apply the corresponding conversation rate of the currency you choose.
How can I track my package?
Once you have placed your order, we will send you a confirmation email to track the status of your order. When your order is shipped we will send you another email to confirm you with a tracking number, expected delivery date as well as the link to track your order.
Your order can also be tracked on our "Order Status" page in Support or in the "Order History" section on your account page on the website.
My order never arrived, what do I do?
Oh no! We’re sorry to hear that. Our shipping carriers work independently from Krazy Kool Technology™, but here are a few solutions we can offer: If your package has been marked delivered and it's only been a day or two, sit tight! Sometimes the carriers scan it before it gets to you. Keep an eye out for it in the next few hours. If the tracking hasn’t been updated in an unusually long time or if it was never updated since the label was created, chances are it was lost in transit.
Please send an email to support@krazykooltech.com so we can help you look into this. If the shipping address was a temporary location, we do not assume responsibility if the recipient is no longer at that address upon delivery within the projected shipping timeline.
Customer support must be notified of any lost packages within 30 days of the ship date. If a package is not reported as lost within 30 days of the ship date, customer service will not be able to assist with a replacement or refund.
