Ice bags wrapped in a towel is neither very effective nor practical. It requires ice or a freezer on hand. Temperature consistency and duration are the main determinants of effective cooling.

Too Cold: Direct frozen towels or direct ice contact to the skin can result in skin damage, frostbite and cause blood cells to vasoconstrict, blocking heat within and keeping cold out.
Not Cold Enough: Heavy towels block the cold from the ice to reach the skin to be effective.
Can’t Stay Cold Long: To reverse internal core body overheating, the ice towels have to be cold at a constant temperature long enough to reduce internal body core temperatures to 37°C (98.6°F).
Constant Cold: Cannot keep the cooling temperature constant, as ice melts quickly in extreme heat, leaving you with an awkward wet mess.
Heavy Maintenance: Constant re-wrapping, new ice and new towels to compensate for limited performance and duration.

Wet cooling towels are all made from PVA fabric or polyacrylate-based fibers. Extreme heat 90F (32C) renders wet towels ineffective. Wet cooling towels can lose their effectiveness: 1) when the air is very hot and dry, they need constant re-wetting; and 2) in high humid environment, the wet towels cannot evaporate.

The ineffectiveness of cold ice vest or wet cooling vests is in the inherent design. Cold ice on bare skin on the main body and melting ice on a person's uniform or clothing is neither effective, efficient nor practical. Sheets of small ice cubes melt rapidly in extreme heat above 90F (32C) and without a freezer nearby has limited effectiveness and portability. Ice vests are not universal fit for all users, all situations, not for everyday use, not versatile nor practical.

Even slight increases in core temperature can result in slower reaction times, impair decision-making, and reduce muscle function. Professional athletes rely on a variety of cold therapy strategies to manage body temperature in extreme heat conditions:

Preventative Cooling when you are slightly overworked, mild overheating or heat want to delay overheating, cool the body slightly. Target Zones: Carotid (neck);
Pre-Activity or Exposure Cooling Routine to lower core body temperatures before activity or entering hot or extreme conditions, can delay overheating and reduce body cooling load. Target Zones: Carotid (neck), Chest, and Axillary (armpits);

Yes! Simply freeze the Cold Cores for at least 12 hours. Cold cores are interchangeable, stay frozen for 10 hours in extreme heat without a freezer, so have extra cold cores to give you unlimited cooling availability. In the morning or when going outdoors for an extended period of time, pack the Cold Cores, Temperature Regulator and Hyper-Evaporative Shell in their respective Pouches and put all the components into the portable thermal carry Storage Bag.

Cold Core Info

NO. The Krazy Kool Technology™ Core Core's are patent-pending ground breaking advancement in cold technology developed for extreme heat with main components:

super cold refrigerant core;
phase change material;
cooling thermal gel
heat reflective exterior

Other water-based gel ice packs in plastic bags can fully melt within minutes and phase-change ice packs might last around an hour.

The projected thaw rating for Krazy Kool Technology™ Cold Cores, were designed and engineered for extreme heat 90F (32C), with continuous unprotected exposure in the system of 4-5hrs. The Cold Cores custom, cold retention pouch extends available stored cold frozen availability for added 10-12 hours.

Note: We cannot guarantee the actual thaw time, as actual conditions vary see product legal disclaimer.

One-time use dry instant ice packs may reach 41°F (5°C) and last 2 minutes and freezer ice packs melt quickly, neither are built for extreme temperatures. Krazy Kool Tech Cold Cores were designed to go below 0°F (-18°C). Basically, the colder your setting on your freezer, the colder Cold Cores will get, and the longer they are kept in the freezer, the longer they will last.

Yes. The Krazy Kool Technology™ Core Core's main components of the include super cold refrigerant core; phase change material; and the cooling thermal gel are all safe, non toxic, compostable materials.

If used improperly, Cold Cores can give you frostbite since any frozen material at temperatures below 32°F (0°C), any frozen material can give you frostbite. The Cold Cores were designed to be used as a component within the Krazy Kool Technology™ System, and not to be used directly on bare skin.

Yes. The Krazy Kool Technology™ System has been designed to be versatile, convenient and affordable.

Check with your travel agent or international flight restrictions. Each Krazy Kool Technology™ Cold Core weighs approximately 12.7oz or 350mL of liquid, so any number of Cold Cores would exceed most "carry on limits". A single zone Krazy Kool Technology™ System weighs about 5lbs or 2.3kg. The Cold Cores are mainly in liquid and would be “check in” for flights.

We have developed and will be available as a pre-order, "a one time fill" Core Core for travelling, that can be carried on board a plane. Each exclusive Krazy Kool Technology™ Travel Cold Core has approximately 6mL of liquid or 0.22oz, reducing the liquid contents and the total weight significantly. Ordering and Shipping

Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn’t the case, let us know and we’ll do our best to work with you to make it right. If you would like to cancel a pre-ordered item, send us an email: support@krazykootech.com with your order number and we'll handle that for you. We can only change orders that have not been processed for shipping yet.

Note: Once your order is under the status "preparing for shipping", "shipping" or "delivered", then we cannot accept any edits to your order. To make changes to your order, please reach out to support@krazykootech.com.

Once you have placed your order, we will send you a confirmation email to track the status of your order.

Once your order is shipped we will send you another email to confirm you the expected delivery date as well as the link to track your order (when the delivery method allows it).

Additionally, you can track the status of your order from your "order history" section on your account page on the website.

We currently ship to the United States and Canada. We are in the process of expanding our shipping destinations.

Once you've placed your order, it usually takes 24 to 48 hours to process it for delivery. Standard shipping time for the countries covered by our delivery partners are presented below.

Standard shipping times can be found when choosing a delivery method before confirming your order: United States: 1-2 days; Canada: 1-1 days

Your payment method can be selected at checkout. Our website supports using a debit or credit card. We also offer support for Paypal, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

We currently only support the following currencies for charging our customers in their local currencies: USD, CAD. Once we expand our destinations, we will be able to accept other currencies.

If your credit or debit card uses another currency, then you will be charged in USD or CAD depending on the website you are on. Your bank will apply the corresponding conversation rate of the currency you choose.

Once you have placed your order, we will send you a confirmation email to track the status of your order. When your order is shipped we will send you another email to confirm you with a tracking number, expected delivery date as well as the link to track your order.

Your order can also be tracked on our "Order Status" page in Support or in the "Order History" section on your account page on the website.

Oh no! We’re sorry to hear that. Our shipping carriers work independently from Krazy Kool Technology™, but here are a few solutions we can offer: If your package has been marked delivered and it's only been a day or two, sit tight! Sometimes the carriers scan it before it gets to you. Keep an eye out for it in the next few hours. If the tracking hasn’t been updated in an unusually long time or if it was never updated since the label was created, chances are it was lost in transit.

Please send an email to support@krazykooltech.com so we can help you look into this. If the shipping address was a temporary location, we do not assume responsibility if the recipient is no longer at that address upon delivery within the projected shipping timeline.

Customer support must be notified of any lost packages within 30 days of the ship date. If a package is not reported as lost within 30 days of the ship date, customer service will not be able to assist with a replacement or refund.
